A Wichita city councilman is vowing to launch his own version of President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency after his fellow lawmakers voted to spend more than $500,000 on two portable toilets.
“This is ludicrous spending from the left,” said Republican Dalton Glasscock on the Todd Starnes Podcast. “These are the policies that get people pissed off. I’m mad because this is not how government should be spending money.”
The toilets are called “Portland Loos” – costing taxpayers $250,000 apiece. That’s no typo, folks. The toilets cost taxpayers more that a quarter million dollars each. And they’re not even gold-plated.
“They’re described as sleek and modern kiosks that discourage crime with graffiti-proof wall panels and open grating,” television station KWCH reported.
As Glasscock points out, the average home in Wichita only costs about $197,000.
“It’s incomprehensible,” the Republican lawmaker said. “There’s no line of logic.”
He said that type of insane government spending is why President Trump is now the president-elect.
“Voters saw the overspending on the federal level, the state level and the local level, and they rejected it,” Glasscock said. “Voters have woken up. They’re tired of these policies and they’re tired of liberal policies destroying this country.”
So, Glasscock has decided to take a page from the Trump transition team and launch his own local version of the Department of Government Efficiency.

“This group will review the budget line by line, along with our ordinances and regulations, to identify areas where we can save and reduce unnecessary burdens on personal freedoms,” Glasscock said.
There’s really no explanation for why the toilets cost more than a three bedroom ranch-style house. The price tag doesn’t even include toilet paper or Febreeze. And that’s unfortunate because this expenditure smells worse than a steaming pile of poop.
