President Trump has broken the Democrat Party. That’s my takeaway from his address to a joint session of Congress.
The childish outbursts and political petulance were on display for the entire nation to see. But there was something dark and demonic about their behavior.
One of the most poignant moments in President Trump’s address came when he recognized DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old boy from Houston. DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018.
He dreamed of becoming a police officer and on Tuesday night the president stunned the little boy by announcing that he was being made an official Secret Service agent.

It was an incredibly kind-hearted gesture and one that brought cheers and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Everyone cheered except for the Democrats. The sat and glared – one lawmaker rolled her eyes. Was it because the child had cancer or was it because he’s a person of color?
“I was so disappointed that my Democratic colleagues couldn’t stand and show love for so many of the Americans that were recognized tonight. That was really heartbreaking to me,” said Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) following the address. “You have a little 13-year-old boy with brain cancer who has worked diligently to overcome that. And for him, when his dad lifted him up, for him to look out across that room and not to have everyone in there standing and cheering for him was heartbreaking.”
Congressman Al Green, the Democrat from Texas, was removed from the House Chamber after he heckled President Trump. It was an ugly moment in modern American politics – which says a lot these days.
The Texas Democrat rose from his seat and shook his cane at the president.
House Speaker Mike Johnson ordered Green to sit down – multiple times. When he refused to do so – the 77-year-old lawmaker was ejected from the chamber.
So what does all of this say about the Democrat Party? They promote themselves as the party of the future. And yet the face of their party is in fact an angry old man shaking his cane at the president of the United States.
“The Democrats should lose the Midterms based on their behavior at last night’s Joint Address to Congress,” wrote Trump in a post to Truth Social.
“Also, Republicans should utilize the footage provided on the total disrespect they showed to all of those that were honored that night, including young ladies who were killed by illegal migrants, people with terminal cancer,” the president added. “They didn’t even have the common courtesy to stand, smile, or applaud. This could be, on analyzing the full tape of this Historic Event, your full CAMPAIGN TO VICTORY!”
When grown adults cannot muster the decency to stand and cheer for a little boy with brain cancer you haven’t just lost the country – you’ve lost your soul.
