Democrats and their hired propagandists within the Legacy Media are hyperventilating over President Trump’s mandate to fire government workers and woke generals in the Pentagon.
They’ve said the firings amount to a constitutional crisis and are all but telling the fired workers to take to the streets. They would relish American cities burning and the White House under siege.
We’ve seen this type of behavior from the Democrats and their propagandists in year’s past. Remember the George Floyd riots? Remember when dozens of Secret Service agents were injured when DNC’s hired goons stormed the White House gates? Remember when they tried to burn down St. John’s Church in Lafayette Square?
So, let’s try to put all of this in perspective and hopefully calm the mobs of leftists afflicted with terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Thus far, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired less than a dozen woke generals and other officers.
“Dictators or wannabe kings fire generals who don’t agree with their politics,” wrote Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) on X. “What Trump and Hegseth are doing is un-American, unpatriotic. It’s [the] definition of politicizing our military.”
Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) warned that Trump was attempted to politicize the military.
“Donald Trump’s quest for power is endangering our military,” said Reed, the ranking member on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
“The implications for our national security cannot be overstated. A clear message is being sent to military leaders: Failure to demonstrate personal and political loyalty to Trump could result in retribution, even after decades of honorable service.”
Obama Fired 197 Generals
So, if Trump and Hegseth’s decision to fire less than a dozen military leaders amounts to a coup, what did Democrats say about former President Barack Obama?
Obama fired 197 generals over a five-year span in his administration. He fundamentally transformed the mission and the ethos of the military by replacing red-blooded patriotic warriors with woke soy boys who have trouble figuring out their pronouns.
Obama turned our military into a social engineering petri dish where soldiers were told to “hug out” their problems and airmen were warned to check their white privilege.
Trump and Hegseth are simply restoring balance to the Force, to borrow from Star Wars parlance.
As for the allegation that Trump has waged an unprecedented war against taxpayer-funded workers? Again, not true. Trump is only doing what any reasonable businessman would do in a company that cannot meet its financial obligations.
Workers who refuse to show up in the office got pink slips. That’s what would happen in the private sector.
Dem Presidents Fired More Federal Workers Than Republicans
You might be surprised to learn that Democrat presidents have downsized federal government more than Republican presidents. President Harry Truman cut 566,000 federal jobs and President Bill Clinton cut 339,000 jobs. Interesting how the Legacy Media leaves out that truth nugget, isn’t it?
As for all the Democrats hollering about how massive buyouts proposed by Trump are illegal — they did not seem to object when Clinon did the same thing.
Forbes reports that Clinton’s buyout plan was meant to “reduce the layers of bureaucracy and micro-management that were tying Government in knots.”
I believe Trump and Elon Musk want to do the same thing Clinton did — with a different title: DOGE.
Forbes reports that the federal workforce shrank by 64,000 under Democrats and grew by 237,000 under Republicans. That’s what happens when you elect fiscally irresponsible Republicans in Name Only.
There is precedent for everything President is doing and has proposed. And I have no doubt the courts will ultimately agree that Donald J. Trump is the president and he gets to decide who works for Uncle Sam — not a federal judge appointed to the bench by Obama.
So for all of you aggrieved Deep State Democrats who are about to be unemployed, here’s some advice that President Biden gave to coal miners who lost their jobs over his radical environmental policies: learn how to code.
