Several hundred enraged leftists showed up outside a Tesla dealership in suburban Memphis on Saturday but it’s unclear exactly what they were protesting. The protesters were waving Ukraine flags, Gay Pride flags and their posters were adorned with lots of Nazi imagery.

State Sen. Brent Taylor (R-TN) was there to ensure that the Tesla dealership and its employees were not injured. The day before the protest he warned the anti-Tesla mob not to break the law.

“We have prepared a place for the Tesla Terrorists, Intersection Imbeciles, and Bridge Bandits if they should they break any laws during their planned misfit protest,” the Republican lawmaker wrote on X. “As is typical of the irrelevant and irrational radical left, they offer nothing but to scream louder than someone who’s caught themselves in their pants’ zipper.”

I was interviewing Taylor when a profane woman wearing gigantic glasses cursed the state senator. We both turned around to engage the woman when she lunged at me. She grabbed my iPhone, threw it on the grass and then lunged at me again.

“You touch me again, lady, you’re going to jail,” I replied. The entire incident was captured on camera which you can watch below.

“Why are you here,” another woman demanded to know. “Why are you here? We’re here to protest.”

Well, I was there to cover the protest. It’s a right enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

The question I have is why were the protesters there in the first place? What does a Tesla dealership in Memphis have to do with the Trump Administration?

I suspect a good many of them were there to get a paycheck. Something tells me this may have been one of the “rent-a-mobs” that have been targeting Tesla dealerships across the country. It was also not very difficult to spot the professionally-designed signs held by many of the protesters.

For weeks now Tesla dealerships have been firebombed and vandalized. Dealerships have been shot up by gunmen. Tesla owners have had their private information doxxed.

And the reason why is because Elon Musk is rooting out grifting and corruption with the federal government. It’s become very clear that billions of our tax dollars have been used to fund radical, far-left activist groups. Those days are over.

The bottom line is that we are not going to be bullied or intimidated. I know that a lot of folks are upset because I did not press charges, but I’m a Southern gentleman. Maybe her Subaru had broken down. Or she maybe she was having one of those “lady days.”

Regardless, I de-escalated the situation with a firm, but polite, warning. And here’s a pro-tip for you folks who might find yourself caught up in a Tesla protest. Be sure to stand upwind of the protesters. The stench can be a bit overwhelming.
