The federal government spent nearly $1 billion of your tax money to determine of the American people enjoyed visiting national parks, according to Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
“It is astonishing,” he said. “It’s mind-blowing.”

Musk made that stunning revelation during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier. He said his team routinely found billions of dollars in tax money that was just casually thrown away by the government. And in some cases it was even more than $1 billion.
A 10-question survey that would cost about $10,000 on Survey Monkey cost the federal government nearly $1 billion, Musk said.
