Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has died from the China Virus. He was 74.
His death was announced on his website and Facebook page.
“Herman Cain – our boss, our friend, like a father to so many of us – has passed away,” the statement on his website said, noting there were “hopeful indicators” in recent days that he’d recover but adding: “And yet we also felt real concern about the fact that he never quite seemed to get to the point where the doctors could advance him to the recovery phase.”
Cain was an incredibly successful businessman, talk radio host and beloved member of the conservative community. He was also a devoted supporter of President Trump.
He had been hospitalized in Atlanta since July 1.
“You’re never ready for the kind of news we are grappling with this morning,” Cain’s staff wrote on Twitter. “But we have no choice but to seek and find God’s strength and comfort to deal.”
The news of Cain’s passing has devastated many across the nation, but it was especially difficult for his former colleague at WSB in Atlanta — Neal Boortz.
