Former President Jimmy Carter was laid to rest today and his funeral was attended by all living presidents. All eyes should have been on President Carter’s casket. Instead – Americans were watching the back and forth between all the living presidents and the first ladies.
Vice President Kamala Harris shot a nasty glance at former President Obama and President-elect Trump. Both men shared a prolonged laugh – leaving many to wonder what was so funny.
Meanwhile, former Second Lady Karen Pence invoked her inner Karen. She refused to acknowledge Trump. Mike Pence, on the other hand, stood and greeted his former boss.
But there was quite a bit of chatter about First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Both ladies were seated side by side on the front row. And they refused to acknowledge each other’s presence. Not even so much as a nod, handshake hug or “howdy do.”
Even CNN noted the frosty moment as Jake Tapper pointed out, “you didn’t see a particularly warm greeting between the First Couple and the Second Couple.”
