DEVELOPING STORY: There were massive explosions and fires reported in northeast Philadelphia after a plane slammed into a heavily populated area. Eyewitnesses described the plane descending like a missile. Click here to view multiple videos from the scene.

Video shows a massive disaster zone stretching for about a half mile near the Roosevelt Mall. Multiple homes and businesses were set on fire. Some vehicles were also destroyed in the crash. There are confirmed casualties.

Video shows at least one person on fire. There were six people on board the doomed flight.

Aniyah White, 16, told the Philadelphia Inquirer she was on the sidewalk on Roosevelt Boulevard with a friend when they looked up and saw a plane spiraling in the sky.

“It was coming down on fire,” she said. “Then boom. Explosion everywhere.”

“The sky lit up,” she told the newspaper.

Ryan Tian, 23, told the Inquirer he was getting dinner at a food truck when he saw the sky turn orange and then he saw a massive fireball.

“I thought we were getting attacked by something,” he said.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said his team is communicating with local officials and first responders and is “offering all Commonwealth resources as they respond to the small private plane crash in Northeast Philly.”
