DEVELOPING STORY: Israel has launched airstrikes against Iran. There are reports of multiple explosions, ABC News reports.
Joel Rosenberg, the best-selling author, reports “major explosions at this hour at Iran’s Isfahan and Nantanz nuclear sites.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously said Israel would make its “own decisions” when responding to Iran’s unprecedented weekend airstrikes, most of which were intercepted.
Iran launched the attack in retaliation for a suspected Israeli strike on its embassy compound in Syria earlier this month.
“Israel has the ability to conduct strikes against targets inside Iran without entering Iranian air space from aircraft over Syrian and Iraqi airspace,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) wrote on X tonight.
