Middle school students in Burlington, Massachusetts were asked in a graphic survey if they’ve ever had “butt sex” or used vaginal sex toys. Teachers reportedly refused to allow parents to opt their children out of the assignment.

The survey included shockingly graphic content, asking students:

  • Which of the following best describes your sexual orientation?
  • Which of the following terms best describes your current gender identity?
  • Sexual intercourse includes vaginal sex which is when a penis goes inside of a vagina, oral sex which is contact between the mouth and genitals, anal sex which is when the penis goes inside an anus (butt), and use of toys or props (vaginal or anal). Have you ever had sexual intercourse?

“Rightfully, parents were livid,” Jessica Richardson, of the Massachusetts Family Institute, wrote about the situation. “Not only were these graphic and leading questions wildly inappropriate for students as young as 6th grade, but the blatant disregard for parental opt-out requests was a serious violation of trust and parental rights.”

Middle and high school students in Burlington Public Schools were given the survey that covered topics like gender identity, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Parents had been given the option to opt their children out of the assignment, but teachers reported ignored the wishes of the parents and ordered the children to participate.

“This egregious violation of parental and student rights transgressed federal law,” wrote Sam Whiting of the Massachusetts Liberty Legal Center. “On behalf of these parents, we demand that BPS hold accountable those responsible for this violation and take steps to ensure that this never happens again.”

Dozens of parents addressed their concerns directly to the school board, the Boston Herald reported.

“Asking an 11-year-old kid questions about anal or oral sex is disgusting,” parent David Hanafin wrote. “There is no benefit to this… I was assured that my kids were opted out of these exercises for good.”

His kid felt “sick to his stomach” when he was required to take the survey, he added. “Why are you exposing him to this?”

One parent told the school board that her child was subjected to mental pornography. And she’s absolutely right. These sorts of lessons are far too common in our taxpayer-funded classrooms. It’s time to play hardball with these perverts.

My recommendation is to round up the committee that approved the curriculum, the administrators who signed off on the lessons and the teachers who refused to let the children opt out. All of them should be fired and then charged with child abuse.
