The Dept. of Agriculture canceled a massive taxpayer-funded contract to educate transgender and queer farmers in the San Francisco area on food justice.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins dropped that news nugget at the White House during Monday’s cabinet meeting.

“Even at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, we canceled a $300,000 contract educating on food justice for queer and transgender farmers in San Francisco,” Rollins told Trump. “A similar contract we canceled in New York, again educating transgender and queer farmers on food justice and food equality. I’m not even sure what that means, but apparently the last administration wanted to put out taxpayer dollars towards that.”

The government was going to specifically spend $397,000 of your tax money in the Bay Area “to educate queer, trans, and BIPOC urban farmers and consumers about food justice and values-aligned markets.”

Food justice, by the way, has been explained as a movement that advocates for everyone’s right to access healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food.

And that’s not the only example of wasteful and perverted spending that had been designated by the Biden Administration.

“We canceled a $600,000 contract out of Louisiana that was studying the menstrual cycles of transgender men. We canceled another contract out of a university in the middle of the country that focused on getting more diversity, equity and inclusion into our pest management industry,” Rollins said. “Again, these are nonsensical, it makes zero sense to use taxpayer dollars to fund these. I know these are just a few examples of the hundreds and hundreds we have found.”

I reckon San Francisco’s queer farmers will have to figure out another way to hoe their crop of eggplants.
