An Arizona high school teacher has been arrested for threatening Donald Trump, Jr. and Charlie Kirk.
Daniel Ashpes, a 24-year-old high school teacher in Tempe was booked on multiple counts of making online threats against conservatives. Among the charges are threatening to cause physical injury and using a phone to threaten or intimidate.
Ashpes taught social studies at Desert Vista High School. A school district spokesperson released a statement to AZ Family:
“Mr. Daniel Ashpes is a Tempe Union High School District employee. He has been placed on administrative leave as authorities investigate the situation at hand. While we cannot comment on the specifics of the situation, we are aware that Tempe PD has filed charges related to alleged online threats. TUHSD does not tolerate or condone any form of threats or harassment made by employees or students.”
Ashpes had reportedly targeted a Turning Point USA rally that was being held at a Tempe hotel.
