Vice President Kamala Harris requires attendees at her campaign events to show some form of government identification. A valid ID was mandatory for anyone attending the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
And yet, according to the Democrats, demanding proof of citizenship to register to vote is somehow an example of white supremacy and voter suppression.
But House Republicans are not falling for that false narrative.
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) has introduced legislation that would force the government to require proof of citizenship in order to register to vote in a federal election. It’s called the SAVE Act.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has agreed to attach the SAVE Act to the Continuing Resolution – which lawmakers will vote to extend government funding into March 2025.

There is no doubt Democrats in the House and Senate will reject such a measure — not to mention a good many open border Establishment Republicans.
So the question is whether Johnson will draw a line in the sand on securing our elections — even if it means shutting down the federal government.
Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) co-sponsored the legislation and was a guest on my national radio show last week.
“I hope our leadership stand strong on this, because we’ve seen some Democrats come across the aisle in the last few months that are in these districts that were won by President Trump,” Tiffany said. “Let’s put them in the hot seat.”
We must call on Republicans to summon the courage to do the right thing and stop illegals from interfering in our elections. Otherwise, we won’t have a Republic to save.
