BREAKING: Cuban Hotel Destroyed by Explosion, Search & Rescue Underway

At least eight people are dead and 30 are hospitalized after a power explosion destroyed a hotel in Havana, Cuba, according to authorities.

Search and rescue crews are working to free people trapped in the rubble, Newsmax reports.

Cuban officials say a preliminary investigation indicates the explosion was caused by an accidental gas leak.

Children in a nearby school have been evacuated and none of them were harmed, according to the mayor of Old Havana.

This is a developing story.
