KYW television reports as many as 300 people are expected at the protest.

“Sadly, we do have to be there, I don’t understand it. There’s certain marches I do understand, this is definitely not one of them,” Police Commissioner Richard Ross told he television station.

It’s beyond belief that anyone would show public or private support for a neighborhood drug dealer who tried to slaughter law enforcement officers. The police were trying to protect the residents.

On the day of the shooting a mob of residents taunted police officers, hurling obscenities as well as projectiles. Click here to view the video.

Hill has an extensive rap sheet dating back to 2001 when he was 18-years-old. His crimes ranged from drug possession and distribution to assault, kidnapping and attempted murder. He also faced federal gun charges.
