Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) set a prayer breakfast audience abuzz after admitting she turned down premarital sex to get to the faith-based event on time.
“Patrick, my fiance, pulled me by my waist this morning in bed, and I was like, ‘No baby. We don’t got time for that this morning. I gotta get to the prayer breakfast, and I got to be on time,'” Mace quipped.
“A little T.M.I. (too much information),” added the 45-year-old congresswoman from the Lowcountry.
Mace shared the personal anecdote about her fiance, Charleston tech entrepreneur Patrick Bryant, at Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)’s thirteenth annual South Caroline prayer breakfast held at the nation’s capital.
“He can wait,” Mace added of Bryant. “I’ll see him later tonight.”

An independent reporter said Mace’s comments were all people were talking about at the faith-based event.
“Several jaws dropped, but most in attendance – including Scott – laughed as Mace recalled the story,” Will Folks wrote for FITS News.
Scott is running for president, polling around less than 3 percent in the latest polling, and Mace is reportedly on former President Trump’s shortlist for a vice presidential running mate.
