The Senate passed the $40 billion aid package for Ukraine Thursday with most Republicans voting for it.
Eleven Republicans voted against the bill that President Biden is expected to sign during his trip to South Korea.
There are the 11 Republicans who voted against the bill:
- Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)
- John Boozman (R-AR)
- Mike Braun (R-IN)
- Mike Crapo (R-ID)
- Bill Hagerty (R-TN)
- Josh Hawley (R-MO)
- Mike Lee (R-UT)
- Cynthia Lummis (R-WY)
- Roger Marshall (R-KS)
- Rand Paul (R-KY)
- Tommy Tuberville (R-AL)
Amid record inflation and high gas prices, a baby formula shortage, and a border crisis, many of the Republicans expressed anger in spending billions in taxpayer dollars abroad.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) called out the Republicans “concerned about the cost” of helping Ukraine, calling it a big mistake.
