New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) labeled himself the “Biden of Brooklyn” Monday ahead of their meeting.

“This is a great city, and I’m the Biden of Brooklyn,” Adams said. “And I love the fact that the president is coming here. I met with him after the campaign, and we spoke and we just connected, you know.”

He gave himself the nickname as President Biden has low approval ratings and high disapproval ratings across the country and amid rising crime in Democrat-controlled cities, including the Big Apple.

“I’m sure if you were to ask him what is his favorite mayor, he would clearly tell you it’s Eric,” Adams said. “We just really like each other.”

The two are set to meet Thursday to discuss how to combat gun crime days after an NYPD officer was fatally shot.

“He’s a guy that can bear the weight of the city, but that you don’t mind having a beer with,” Adams concluded.
