Just when Nikki Haley was wondering how things could possibly get worse, they held a Republican primary in Nevada.
The former UN ambassador was trounced in the primary – even though President Trump was not on the ballot. She lost in a landslide to a category labeled “none of these.”
With nearly 100 percent of the votes counted, Haley lost by nearly 30 points to nobody.
Bad news for a contender who has already lost in Iowa and New Hampshire and could suffer a landslide loss in her home state later this month.
Nevada’s primary results don’t matter, though. That’s because the Republicans select delgates at a caucus and that is set for Thursday. Trump is on the ballot tomorrow – but Haley is not. And that’s baffled lots of political observers.
Regardless, Establishment Republicans are hoping for some sort of a miracle in what many people are calling a huge political gamble.
So in truth, the Nevada Republican Primary results are meaningless in the great scheme of things. And ironically, so is Ambassador Haley’s presidential campaign.
