CBS POLL: 72 Percent Say Biden Not Fit to Serve

The Democrats are facing a significant dilemma. President Biden is unfit for office and so is Vice President Kamala Harris. And now, even the Mainstream Media can’t provide any cover for the doomed Democrats.

A newly released CBS News poll shows an astounding 72 percent of registered voters don’t believe Biden is able to carry out the duties of the presidency. That’s nearly three-quarters of the electorate.

But it’s even worse than that, folks.

The post-debate poll shows an increased number of Democrat voters don’t think Biden should be running for president at all. Nearly half his party doesn’t think he should now be the nominee.

The move came across the partisan board, but it includes a double-digit movement among Democrats, and movement among independents, CBS News reports.

Most voters who say he shouldn’t run say it’s both about his campaigning and his effectiveness in office, along with his age, according to CBS.

The editorial boards of the New York Times and Atlanta Journal-Constitution publicly called on Biden to pull out of the race.

Should Biden pull out of the presidential race?

The Times cited Biden’s feeble performance in last night’s debate as the chief reason the president must go in an editorial titled, “To Serve His Country, President Biden Should Leave the Race.”

“As it stands, the president is engaged in a reckless gamble. There are Democratic leaders better equipped to present clear, compelling and energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency,” the editorial board wrote. “There is no reason for the party to risk the stability and security of the country by forcing voters to choose between Mr. Trump’s deficiencies and those of Mr. Biden. It’s too big a bet to simply hope Americans will overlook or discount Mr. Biden’s age and infirmity that they see with their own eyes.”

The Times said dropping out for a younger Democrat would be Biden’s “greatest public service.”

“The president’s performance cannot be written off as a bad night or blamed on a supposed cold, because it affirmed concerns that have been mounting for months or even years. Even when Mr. Biden tried to lay out his policy proposals, he stumbled. It cannot be outweighed by other public appearances because he has limited and carefully controlled his public appearances,” they wrote.

The Times ridiculed and demeaned President Trump in its editorial, while noting that Biden is simply not up to the task.

“Democrats who have deferred to Mr. Biden must now find the courage to speak plain truths to the party’s leader. The confidantes and aides who have encouraged the president’s candidacy, and who sheltered him from unscripted appearances in public, should recognize the damage to Mr. Biden’s standing and the unlikelihood that he can repair it,” they wrote.

And there are reports Biden is meeting with his family at Camp David to determine next steps.
