The chief executive officer of the nation’s largest Hispanic-owned food producer told a cheering crowd at CPAC that former President Trump is still the legitimate president of the nation.
“My biggest honor today is going to be that, I think, we’re going to be on the same stage as, in my opinion, the real, the legitimate, and the still actual president of the United States, Donald J. Trump,” Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue told the conservative crowd.
He then hinted at voter fraud, adding, “I received, I think as many people I know and maybe many of you, unsolicited ballots. So, I mean, as a citizen of the United States, I think I’m allowed to vote once. once — not twice. ” as the crowd continued to cheer him.

Unanue made national headlines last summer when he attended a gathering if Latino business leaders at the White House. He said taht American is “truly blessed” to have Trump as president.
That declaration sparked a national boycott against the company. However, the boycott backfired when conservative purchased tons of the company’s products.
Uanue’s pro-Trump politics is not shared by the company’s board of directors.
In January, a majority of Goya’s nine-member board demanded that he obtain board permission before making any more media appearances, sources close to the situation told the New York Post.
“Bob does not speak for Goya Foods when he speaks on TV,” Goya board member and third-generation owner Andy Unanue told The Post last week leading up to the vote. “The family has diverse views on politics, but politics is not part of our business. Our political point of views are irrelevant.”
