I’ve never been one to buy into the notion that there are chance encounters in life. Instead, I believe in divine appointments.
And the other day there was a divine appointment at our southern border – near the town of Eagle Pass.
On that day there were dueling political events – one in Brownsville, Texas – featuring a feeble President Biden. And the other in Eagle Pass – where President Trump bounded off his plane and rushed over to shake hands with border patrol agents.

Afterwards, President Trump was about to board his airplane when he came across Franklin Graham – the famed evangelist. Graham just happened to be on the tarmac when Trump arrived.
The two men had a brief talk – and then Franklin Graham asked to pray over the president. There are photos of the moment on my website.
It was a moving photograph – not two world leaders sharing a moment – but two men – heads bowed – petitioning Almighty God.
The essence of the prayer is unknown – as it should be. But we should be encouraged that President Trump is a man who is guided by godly counsel.
