John Rich is calling on his fellow conservatives in the country music industry to publicly show their support for President-elect Trump.
“To any of the country artist left out there, who are the big time names that are conservatives? It’s time to grow a pair,” Rich said on my radio show today. “Be an American, stand up, make your ancestors proud and give your kids something to model themselves after.”
Rich’s comments came after Carrie Underwood faced a fierce attack for accepting an invitation to perform “America the Beautiful” at President Trump’s Inauguration.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Ms. Underwood said in a statement on Monday. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
A mob of soy-boy snowflakes and magenta-haired Subaru drivers pitched a fit on social media — vowing to boycott Underwood.
“You are a traitor to both your country and your gender,” one angry liberal wrote on X. “You are an embarrassment to both.”
Consider the headline in the Daily Beast: “Carrie Underwood Comes Out as MAGA With Trump Inauguration Gig.”
Rich saluted Underwood and said she was a patriot.
“I was really proud of Carrie for stepping forward and saying, ‘I’m going to sing at this inauguration,'” he told me. “She gave a beautiful statement about it. But it tore up a lot of her liberal fans, and she obviously knew that would happen. But good for her.”
Rich called on other “closeted” musicians to show their support for the president-elect.

“There are several top tier country artists who support Trump, and I wish they’d finally have the balls to come forward and be counted,” Rich wrote on X. “Ain’t nothing outlaw about keeping your mouth shut to appease the record label. Carrie Underwood is making you look like a bunch of sissy boys.”
As one observer noted on X: “I don’t know if Carrie Underwood voted for Donald Trump or not. I do know she has graciously accepted an invitation to perform at his inauguration. Nashville is liberal and country music is surprisingly pretty woke. Good for her for putting her country ahead of her career.”
Trump took a bullet in the head for our nation. The least conservative country music stars can do is vow to make America great again.
