BREAKING NEWS: The Lexington Police Department Evacuated a number of buildings and asked people to avoid the downtown area due to an “incident.”
Kentucky Sports Radio reports that restaurants and bars were being cleared because of a suspicious RV that was parked in the area. More details to come.

Around 7:40 pm Thursday, an officer noticed a large RV parked in a downtown parking lot. Given the circumstances, an explosives detection canine was brought in, and it “alerted” to the vehicle. pic.twitter.com/OUnp8wxHj6
The downtown area was evacuated and the police department’s Hazardous Devices Unit responded to the scene. Officers made contact with the driver of the RV and no explosives were located.
