The order was very clear – release all the Epstein Files. That’s what we were promised.
Earlier this week a select group of America First social media influencers was summoned to the White House and provided exclusive access to some Epstein documents. Video shows the influencers smiling, mugging for the cameras as they waved white folders. The folders adorned with the words “The Epstein Files.”
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna – the Republican from Florida – blew a gasket – writing this on X:
“I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein’s phonebook. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene pushed back on expectations, writing this message on X:
“The Epstein list is going to be released and much more is coming. There is currently a war raging within. The resistance within will be beaten and the truth will be revealed. I’m so proud of AG Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. Both WARRIORS!! Don’t believe anyone who tries to sow discord or doubt, even some members of congress and those you think are on our side. The information will be released directly to the people!”
So, where is the information? The attorney general told us those files were literally sitting on her desk. Did she misspeak? Were the files misplaced? She set a deadline – demanding that all the files be turned over by 8 a.m. on Thursday morning. That deadline has come and gone.
And why were a select group of social media influencers the only people provided access to the Epstein information? What’s in the white binders? The American people deserve to know. And why were members of Congress left out of the loop. Again – this administration promised transparency, not a reality television show.
I’m not sure who originally wrote this – but it’s been circulating on social media today – and it’s worth sharing with you.
Adults do not have sex with children. They are child rapists.
Adults do not touch children sexually. They are child molesters.
Adults do not beat up children. They are child abusers.
Adults do not transport kids for sex. They are child sex traffickers.
Adults do not take the lives of kids. They are child murderers.
Do not down play what these monsters are doing to these kids.
The author of that post is absolutely correct.
The entire nation should be shocked and horrified by the Epstein Files. Some of the nation’s most powerful politicians allegedly abused children. Some of the most famous Hollywood stars stand accused – as well as some of the wealthiest on Wall Street.
This should stand as a great stain on the Justice Department and national newsrooms.
Now is not the time for social media influencers. It’s the time for gravitas. The files should be released from the podium at the Attorney General’s Office – not somebody’s TikTok platform.
The orders from President Trump were clear – release the files And the files have yet to be released. We need to understand why. Those are questions that should be addressed from her briefing room and not a primetime television show on Fox News.
What’s really frustrating is that we have all been down this well-worn path before. House Republicans promised us that Merrick Garland and James Comey and Hunter Biden would all be held accountable. The Republicans told us Joe Biden would be impeached.
Lots of hearings. Lots of preening for the television cameras. Lots of our tax money wasted on what turned out to be nothing but a made-for-tv drama. But to date, not a single person in the Biden White House has been held accountable. Not a one.
I hope that the attorney general will do as she promised and release ALL the files. But if she does not – President Trump should strongly consider new leadership at the Justice Department. And any FBI agent or official who has taken part in the cover up should face immediate termination. And possible prosecution.
Now is the time to bring the child predators to justice. Now is the time for serious people – not photo ops.
