A man armed with a knife chased two people into a Chick-fil-A in Boston Saturday night. An off-duty police officer happened to be inside the restaurant. He pulled out his service revolver, identified himself as a law enforcement officer and ordered the attacker to put down the weapon. The man refused so the officer opened fire. The attacker later died at the hospital.

Boston’s Democrat mayor held a press conference where she offered condolences to the attacker and his family.

“My condolences and all of our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost,” said leftist Mayor Michelle Wu. Watch below:

Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox also offered condolences to the attacker and the attacker’s family. He’s the same commissioner who refused to allow his officers to assist with rounding up illegal aliens.

“This is a pretty tragic incident, Cox said. “We don’t look for loss of life and our condolences go out to the family of the individual.”

What about offering condolences to the people who were terrorized by this lunatic? What about praising the off-duty police officer for putting his own life on the line? There could have been a mass casualty incident last night in Boston had it not been for that brave officer.

Local residents are concerned about the rise in violence in their neighborhood.

“It’s definitely a dangerous situation to be in. I mean, as college students living in the city, you want to be aware of these things, and in a city where you don’t have a car, walking from place to place, it can make it very dangerous. So it’s concerning,” Nicole Henninger told CBS News.

“I was surprised to find out especially in this area because walking down during the day, I wouldn’t have assumed, from being out of town, that certain events like this would happen,” visitor Angelina Brown said.

It’s yet another reminder that Democrats always believe that the criminals are the true victims.
