The Oklahoma state school superintendent has filed a lawsuit against a notorious atheist organization that has been known to prey on small towns and communities.
The Freedom From Religious Foundation, a Wisconsin-based gang of atheists and agnostics, threatened to sue the school district in Columbus, Oklahoma after a child delivered a prayer during morning announcements.
“They’re threatening the kid,” Supt. Ryan Walters told me on my podcast. “It’s just outrageous and we have to stand up to these radical atheists.”
Walters said he will fight state-sponsored atheism in our taxpayer-funded classrooms.
“We’re not going to tolerate that here in Oklahoma,” he told me. “They are using legal tactics to bully districts and claim they have jurisdiction when they have none. They have no legal ability to come in and dictate how students behave inside a classroom.”
Walters told me that he’s sending a very clear message to the out-of-town atheists: “You’re not going to come after every little small district in the state of Oklahoma and threaten their freedoms, threaten their rights, threaten the students that attend school there. And we’re telling them you’re not going into our schools anymore. If you want to deal with somebody, you can deal with us.”
