A first-grade teacher at a school in Pittsburg, California is defying federal orders to abolish LGBT and Black Lives Matter lessons. As I wrote in my new book, “Twilight’s Last Gleaming,” this is why Americans need to homeschool their children.
President Trump signed an executive order that would cut federal funding to schools that teach topics related to race, sex, gender and politics. And that includes radical gender ideology and critical race theory.
It’s part of the president’s plan to remove far-left indoctrination in grades K-12 education.

The teacher posted a video on TikTok showing her posting a giant LGBT flag in her classroom. She also unveiled a collection of story books that covered topics like critical race theory and diversity.
“When our LGBTQ+ communities are having their rights stripped away, when their voices and histories are being silenced, when communities are being attacked,” she wrote in a video posted on TikTok.
Someone at the school district should explain why first graders should be exposed to lessons on sex and race theory.
This is the same school district that employs a teacher who was disappointed that President Trump’s would-be assassin missed his mark.
Well, if the Pittsburg Unified School District want to defy the president’s executive order – no problem. There’s an easy fix.
