Pilgrim Coffeehouse is the sort of friendly, neighborhood place where you can enjoy a fresh-brewed cup of coffee and relax in one of their cozy chairs.

The Seattle-area coffee house is not one of those homogenous corporate owned joints where they misspell and mispronounce your name.

Pilgrim Coffeehouse is owned by the pastor of Epic Life Church, a Christian congregation that ascribes to the teachings of the Holy Bible. And that has caused big problems among the radical leftists and LGBT activists who call the area home.

The coffeehouse was supposed to host a “Coffee With a Cop” event for the Shoreline Police Dept. But when the city learned that the coffeehouse was owned by a Christian and a Conservative, they canceled the engagement.

“It was neither the department’s nor the City’s intent to make any community member feel unwelcome based on the selection of the event venue and the values that the venue may or may not hold. When planning future events, we will be more intentional with our venue selection,” the city said on Facebook, making it clear that the ownership of venues must pass a political and religious litmus test to be considered.

LGBT terrorists staged protests and waged a fierce and ugly protest campaign against the coffeehouse accusing them of being anti-gay and a “festering sore on our city’s landscape.”

The church was accused of being a “far-right church which is against LGBTQ, immigrants and is anti-science.”

KTTH Radio Defends Pastor

Jason Rantz, a popular host on Seattle radio station KTTH, invited Pastor Keith Carpenter to appear on his program.

The pastor is just bewildered by the vitriol that the pro-police event had caused. He said they were looking forward to giving free coffee to everyone.

“I can deal with people posting negative things online. That’s just the way they are. They don’t like everything about me or our church, and our coffee shop, and that’s fine. But not just misunderstanding, but just blatant lies and calling us hateful, calling us every buzzword that can get people’s attention,” Carpenter told Rantz. “That’s what was used and… (that is) sad calling us exclusive or non-inclusive, while excluding us. And so it doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

Pastor Pens Lengthy Facebook Post

He wrote a lengthy Facebook post pointing out the incredible good the church and the coffeehouse have done for the community.

“I can guarantee if you needed a free cup of coffee, I would give it to you,” he wrote. “If you need a gallon of gas for your car, I would give it to you. If you need a place to stay, I would help you find it.”

The church has provided groceries to hundreds of people a week and they’ve spent thousands of hours cleaning up neighborhood blight.

Church members have “scared off pimps, criminals and partnered with community groups for safety.”

The truth is that the people waging digital warfare on the church and the coffeehouse have never stepped foot in either place.

The fact of the matter is that the LGBT terrorists and their mob hate Pilgrim Coffeehouse because they hate Jesus Christ. They hate Christianity. And they see John 3:16 as a threat to their way of life.

Shoreline City Hall should be ashamed. They claim to be preaching a gospel of inclusivity when in fact they reject Christians.

Well, let me offer a word of guidance to Shoreline City Hall. Those “Christians” that you despise pay rent and utilities. They pay property taxes. And they are law-abiding people doing good deeds. So, how about treating them with a little respect instead of second-class citizens?
