TODD: And as Congressman Jackson said in the last hour, something clearly is not right medically with Joe Biden.
REP. BROOKS: [01:01:59] Well, I don’t have access to Joe Biden’s record. Certainly I can see that his mental acumen is not what it was a decade ago. He has lost some cognitive ability. I do not believe he’s to the point where he needs to resign because of that diminished capacity. It is worrisome as to where he’ll be a year or two from now, but it wouldn’t be at all surprised as part of a Democratic Party strategy if Joe Biden were to resign sometime in late 2023. Kamala Harris take over at that point. And that way, Joe Biden would be the one who is tagged with all of the results of all the bad policies that occurred during the first three years of his administration, somewhat given Kamala Harris a clean slate with which to work. Now, whether that is, in fact, the Democratic Party strategy going into the 2004 elections. I don’t know, but it’ll be interesting to see how it unfolds.

TODD: [01:03:02] Boy, it sure well, but a very disturbing his behavior overseas on that first international trip. And I’m not quite sure that I’m just I’m just not sure about all of this. Congressman, I have grave concerns about this administration.
REP. BROOKS: [01:03:18] Well, you should. It’s been one of the most damaging first four months of any president in United States history. Think about what he’s done. He’s made us more dependent on foreign oil from the Middle East, a very difficult to defend supply line as opposed to having oil from Canada by a pipeline to our oil refineries in Texas and Louisiana. Stripping us of energy security is extraordinarily unwise and risky. Then you have what’s going on at the southern border where you have over 2000 dead Americans on average each year at the hands of illegal aliens, coupled with another 30 plus thousand dead each year from overdoses on deadly narcotics smuggled across our southern border. And this administration, instead of trying to protect American lives, he’s putting them at greater risk by welcoming even more illegal aliens and making it easier for the cartels to smuggle even more deadly narcotics into America. It’s basically a betrayal of our country and it’s putting American lives at risk on average, about 100 Americans are dead each day just from those two things, both associated with a porous southern border. Now, that is huge. And I wish the mainstream news media would pay closer attention to that kind of federal crime data and drug overdose data.
