In the world of Don “Moose” Lewis, only white men can jump and that’s why he’s launching a professional basketball league made up exclusively of American-born Caucasians.
Blacks and immigrants need not apply to the All-American Basketball Alliance.
Lewis, an Atlanta-based wrestling and boxing promoter, told FOX News Radio the AABA will play in at least 12 cities — mostly in the South.
Only players that are national born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league, he said.
The plans for an all-white team have been met with shock and outrage – especially in Augusta, GA – where Lewis wants to field a team.
“Apparently, it’s not a hoax – it’s serious,” Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver told FOX News Radio. “To me the idea is ludicrous. I don’t think there is anyone in the city of Augusta that would want to be associated with it.”
Lewis denied claims by critics that he is a racist. “If I was a true racist, I wouldn’t allow Jews – Catholics – I wouldn’t allow any of these people.”
Lewis said he just wants to provide an alternative to the National Basketball League and what he calls their “street ball” mentality.” He said he was especially put-off by a recent gun incident involving NBA star Gilbert Arenas.
“There’s no excuse for guns in locker rooms, players going into the stands after fans,” he said. “The style of game in the NBA is not conducive to white players.”
But his basketball league may not be conducive to southern cities. The league wants to field teams in places like Chattanooga. Richard Beeland is a spokesman for Mayor Ron Littlefield. He said the league had not made any official overtures to the city.
“I don’t know if this is real or not. If it’s a hoax, it’s done in incredibly bad taste,” he told FOX News Radio. “And if it’s real, it’s absolutely ridiculous and something we would not want to be a part of.”
Lewis said his league is indeed – real. He said games will be played in the summer. However, he acknowledged no arenas have been booked, no players have been recruited and no one has forked over the $10,000 required to own a team.
In his version of a perfect world, Lewis said he one day hopes an all-black or all-Hispanic team will compete against his Caucasians.
“Let’s face it,” he said. “People do have allegiances to their own ethnic group. Am I right or wrong?”

why not? JJ was right. sciencist said white will be a minority in 2050. almost every race have their own club except white. no one is realizing that. all other races is rejecting white culture and we have nothing to show where we are comming from.

The reason why there are no white clubs are because any club that is not black is white. White people still have the run of the country.

Good point. As long as Lewis follows all US laws and regulations, let him have his all Caucasian basketball league. No major sponsor or media channel would touch this league with a 10 ft pole but let the guy waste his own money if it makes him feel good. The best thing main stream media can do is ignore the guy instead of giving him national media attention which is probably his true underlying goal of furthering his current business ventures.
Sounds like a good idea, not a racist idea. With the exception of NASCAR and Hockey most all other sports are dominated by blacks. That’s fine, if that’s what the owners want, there are some great black players out there. Giving white players a chance isn’t wrong.
Texas – you have to bring up the KKK whenever it involves WHITE people. I think you are on the right track.. Everything is geardd to the black communities. I know that in the 60′s, 70′s was terrible for the afro americans. Brown v. Board of EducationThat was looked at and hence the birth of the civil rights movement in 1964. If you were alive in the 50′s, 60′s and even early 70′s times were rough. Even when the “martyr” Martin Luther King was running around the country stirring up race riots things were hard against white people. Now he is a hero! But if that were to happen with a white man as a leader would he have been a martyr? Blacks are given an unequal abount of rights. Look at the commercials on tv, nearly all have to have black actors as the leaders of commercials with the exception of the caveman or the gecko of geico. The most degrading commercial is the Alieve commercial where the 3 dumb ass white people are reading all the aspirin boxes and just can’t decide which one to buy.. Then the black afro-American woman with the short afro-American woman walks in grabs the Alieve product and instantly decides the best product. To me that is so degrading! Do the white people get the free harvard educations for free? There are black colleges, schools, churches and very soon hospitals. it that allowed for the whites?

Have you ever sat through an entire basketball game that is played based on the fundamentals of the sport? Probably not. I have been playing basketball since I was a kid and even as a kid, we went for the fun plays. Fundamental basketball is boring. This league is a slap in the face to all of the basketball players who have not done obscene things. Larry Bird, Steve Nash, John Stockton, Kevin Love would be bored out of their minds if they could not break away from the fundamentals. This league will not do well because it will be boring, not because only allows whites.

If fundamental basketball is so boring – then why is college basketball & “March Madness” such a monstrosity? Any fan of basketball knows NCAA ball is better than the pros because the rules are followed & the refs are stricter. I’ve played ball for 25 years in YMCA leagues. Everyone there loves college ball more than the pros. There are 100s of reasons to dislike the pro game – including guns in the locker room, constant rapes, & players attacking fans.
The pro game has steadily declined in popularity since MJ retired. The NBA peaked in the 80s-90s & has never fully recovered. The Nielson ratings have slumped pathetically the last decade. Part of the reason for the decline is because people cannot relate to the game anymore. The antics of the overpaid, ridiculously dumb players combined w/ the “free for all” court game appeals to less & less of the population each year. C’mon – lets face it, some of these guys cant spell their name & they make 10 times more than a neurosurgeon. Attendance is down, TV ratings are down, which translates to less advertising, less endorsements, & owner bankruptcy.
Of course NBA owners are solvent – but barely. At the rate they’re going its teeter-totter on bankruptcy is evident. But…the players havent taken a hit in salaries yet. They are filthy rich & act like criminals. Many white people just cant relate to the black athlete. As far as their concerned these guys “have it made” – but still act as if they just left the ghetto. In this day & age – there is no excuses left to coddle & pamper them with. The successful working white family who speaks English, pays their bills, supports family, enjoys recreational sports, embraces higher education, mows their lawn & saves for retirement – are increasingly SQUEEZED OUT. Their race is nowhere to be found in the NBA world. “Its a black thang”.
If this league were real – I bet the college basketball fans would tune in. The game would be a GAME & not a spectacle of ridiculous behavior & antics. Based on crime statistics it would be safer for the athletes & the families attending the games. Advertisers would be remiss to ignore this opportunity. The white population has a lot of money to spend – ignoring this would be plain stupid. Positive, wholesome, quality family-time could surround the game again. Like its roots from James Naismith’s era.
Blacks need not be offended because they would continue to have all the “black” perks they enjoy today. Affirmative Action, Equal Housing, Minority biz loans, black scholarships, black colleges, black beauty pageants, black TV & Radio stations, black magazines, black awards ceremonies, black parades, black clubs, black political caucuses, black churches, lowered admission standards for blacks in college, UNCF, NAACP, ACLU, ADL, etc..etc..etc.. The already have their own black basketball league. In all fairness – a white basketball league is no big deal.
Many people would be afraid at first because of the connotation of racism – but after some positive advertisement & a few sponser jump on board – the flood gates would open. American whites combined with the quality of players coming from Europe would be awesome. Larry Bird, Tony Kukouc, Steve Nash, Kevin McHale, John Stockton, Jerry West, Bill Walton, Rick Barry, John Paxson, Bobby Hurley, etc.. it would be exciting ball & the crowds would enjoy it SAFELY for a change.
If they build it – I will get season tickets, buy merchandise, endorse it & be proud of my heritage too. A win-win for everyone.
I think that it’s about time someone had the balls to do something like this. I was a starting guard on a local championship team back in the day. I WILL NOT EVEN WATCH THE NBA ANYMORE. I can’t even identify with most of these idiots. Of course, there are many GOOD players that are GOOD examples for our youth. However, it is HOOD BALL with hood lifestlyes that I consider to be PROFANE, CLASSLESS and BENEATH the dignity of descent people with traditional values. Do you think that white folks would congregate inside an Atlanta mall for a whole day without buying anything, causing trouble, stealing, refusing to leave and then complaining when stores start shutting down? Please.
Also, how many white boys are going to be 7’6″ tall? Very, very rare. I’m all for it. I would actually “feel safe” walking through the parking lot with my wife and kids to go and see a game in this venue. Cannot say the same for NBA venue. Realistically, I think one would be a “racist” to be against this given all the “black only” crap that is out there. Go for it!
This makes absolutely perfect sense – outside of all the lying that is happening in in government at this time. Those people are astoundingly crazy. Yes – I do believe it is time for something to happen for the Caucasian race in the US. We have all heard for years that if we had an Miss White America pageant, an White JET magazine, etc., it would be considered racist. As for the purely basketball aspect of this league, go right ahead and have the league. NO ONE WILL WATCH. Great white players are already in the NBA and good white players are playing ball overseas. So I guess this would leave the guys who claim they were all-city in high school and would have gone pro if they didn’t injure their knee. Yeah, that should be a ratings bonanza. No thanks, if I wanted to watch bad basketball I would just watch the local junior high team.
